Branislav Draskovic, PhD in the field of Geography, associated professor, was born on 23 November 1969 in Sarajevo, where finished elementary and high school. From 1997-2008 he was employed at the local public utility company “Waterworks and Sewage'' East Sarajevo. During the period 1999-2003 studied at the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Philosophy at University of East Sarajevo, with an average of 9.00 (9/10). At the same University he successfully finished master (2007) and doctoral study (2011) with dissertation “Hydrological Characteristics of the Sarajevo valley”. Since 2004-2008 he was working as part-time assistant at the Department of Geography University of East Sarajevo. From March 2008, he started to work at the University as full-time senior assistant. From March 2012, he became assistant professor and after five years in March 2017 as an associate professor. During the period 2012-2017 he was the head of the Department of Geography. Main topics of scientific work are Physical Geography, Geographic Information Systems and Water Resources Management. He had education courses in Japan and Italy, and as a visiting professor he lectured at the University of Perm (Russia) in 2017.

Author about 30 scientific papers and scientific monography ,,Basin of Upper Bosnia: a Physical geography characteristics’’. Also, he co-authored with Professor Stevo Pasalic an book for students and class teachers ,,Fundamentals of Geography and Demography’’.
